When I rip tracks from CD I get static-like noises and skips – what can I do?
It sounds as if you’re having some problems with your digital audio extraction. Exact Audio Copy is a good, free ripping program which seems to be perhaps the best at producing good, clean rips in difficult situations (tricky hardware, CDs in poor condition, etc.) It may be a little slow, but if you’re getting poor results with other programs, you might want to try it.
