These are used to re-transmit all information received at the MIDI In port using box the MIDI Thru port connections. Often these ports are used to create a chain of connected devices in a single MIDI data path, called a ‘daisy chain’. Some devices, commonly computers, do not have a dedicated MIDI Thru port.
