Can I edit my MP3s directly without having to decode them into .wav files first?
Yes, to a certain extent, you can. There are some programs that will allow you to cut, fade in and out, alter volume, paste, and otherwise manipulate the MP3 files directly. Some of these are MP3Cutter, MPTrim, MP3DirectCut & MP3Gain.
